Admissions
St. Nicholas School welcomes all students who desire an educational experience founded on the Catholic philosophy of education, regardless of religious affiliation. Students must fulfill all age, health, academic and behavioral requirements to be eligible for admission to the school.
Kindergarten
According to Ohio Law, students who are five years old on or before September 30th may qualify for admission to kindergarten. All incoming children will go through a thorough kindergarten screening process intended to help determine readiness, placement and assistance in preparing children for kindergarten.
Grades One through Eight
In addition to the registration materials listed below, students in grades one through eight must provide a copy of their most recent report card. At registration, parents/guardians will be asked to sign a Release of Records form, allowing us to request all of the appropriate records for that student from their previous school.
New Student Registration
New student registration begins in February. The following materials are needed upon registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
- Social Security Number
- Immunization Records
- Proof of Child Custody (if applicable)
- Completion of the school application
- Completion of the Registration form
- Copy of current Report Card Must be presented at meeting with principal
- Copy of IEP Report (if applicable)
- Custody documentation (if applicable)
- Immigration and Naturalization Service I-20 Form (if applicable
- Signed Release of Records
- Supply Fee $40.00 per student due with forms or by July 2nd, 2018 (not covered under EdChoice)
- Registration Fee $25.00 due with forms (not covered under EdChoice)
